Community Groups
Our presentations have been enjoyed by numerous community groups across the county.
Our local magistrates explain how the courts work and host a lively Q&A about their experiences in court.
Having one of our local magistrates visit a community group can offer several benefits:
- Legal Awareness
Magistrate visits can enhance legal awareness among adults, ensuring they have a better understanding of legal processes, rights, and responsibilities. - Community Connection
Magistrates engaging with adult community groups foster a sense of community and encourage individuals to feel more connected to the justice system. - Q&A Sessions
Adults can engage in meaningful discussions with magistrates, asking questions about the legal system, current legal issues, or any concerns they may have. - Dispelling Myths
Magistrate visits provide an opportunity to dispel myths and misconceptions about the legal system, promoting a more accurate understanding among community members. - Ethical Considerations
Magistrates can lead discussions on ethical considerations in legal decision-making, fostering a deeper appreciation for the moral aspects of the justice system. - Community Safety
Discussions on legal matters can contribute to community safety by promoting awareness of legal standards and encouraging responsible behaviour. - Networking Opportunities
Magistrate visits to community groups like Rotary Clubs and Women’s Institutes offer networking opportunities, facilitating connections between legal professionals and community members. - Empowerment
Understanding the legal system empowers individuals within the community, enabling them to navigate legal issues more effectively and advocate for their rights. - Educational Outreach
Magistrates can act as educational ambassadors, bridging the gap between the legal system and the community through informative presentations and discussions. - Promoting Civic Engagement
Engaging with magistrates encourages adults to become more actively involved in civic affairs, advocating for legal reforms or participating in community initiatives. Magistrates are un-paid volunteers and will explain the benefits of supporting their community.

We don’t charge for our presentations but we are happy to accept donations. The funds we raise are spent on our community and school activity across the county.
