17 Mock Trials in one week

The MIC team in Warrington completed 17 mock trials this week. We held 10 at Lymm High School with the Y10 group and 7 at Priestley College with the A Level Law students. Each session was proceeded by a presentation by one of the team about the role of magistrates and the working of the court.

In total, the team spoke to 500 pupils across the two schools. Seven members of the MIC team spent several hours at each school and the feedback they received was very positive.

A special thanks musy go to Linda Murdoch and Paula Jones who pulled together the program and organised the two events.

The team received this message from one of the teachers:

” I didn’t get the chance to say a thank you to you and the team for the work you put in with our students on Wednesday. The Year 10’s I have spoken to loved the mock trial and really appreciated having an expert in the room for guidance and to show them the inner workings of the systems we have within law in this country. Your contributions really made it a memorable day for our students and our Y10 form team was full of praise. I am looking forward to be able to host you all again”
