We are a dedicated team of magistrates who sit in the magistrate courts across Cheshire. The aim of our group is to:
For the past 25 years we have given presentations across the county about our work in court and explaining how local justice is delivered.
In 2020 the team won two prestigious national awards for its work in the community.
The Magistrates’ Association MA is the independent voice for magistrates in England and Wales. We are proud to have been granted a Royal Charter in 1962. Cheshire MA is a branch of the national MA.
MIC is the community outreach programme of the Magistrates Association
What is Magistrates in the Community MIC ?
Magistrates in the Community is the MA’s community engagement initiative. Every year, teams of volunteer magistrates across England and Wales deliver a huge variety of presentations to incredibly diverse audiences.
